At HL Cryogenics, we know how precise you need to be when testing high-performance electric motors. That’s why we don’t cut corners on thermal management. Our integrated solutions—especially our Vacuum Insulated Pipe and Vacuum Insulated Flexible Hose—set the standard for efficiency in the industry.
When we design a cooling skid, our main goal is simple: keep heat out, almost entirely. We do that by using Vacuum Insulated Pipe systems, where the gap between walls is pumped down to a high vacuum and stuffed with layers of insulation. This blocks heat from getting in, whether it’s through radiation, convection, or conduction.
Our engineers sweat the details. They calculate every thermal load—every pipe, every hose. It doesn’t matter if you’re moving liquid nitrogen, oxygen, or LNG; we make sure the liquid stays just right along the whole run.

● Advanced Thermal Insulation
To keep your cryogenic system running smooth, our Vacuum Insulated Phase Separator vents off flash gas and keeps the pressure steady. This way, your system delivers a steady stream of pure liquid, which is crucial for things like satellite fueling and sensitive physics experiments. For local storage, our Mini Tank connects seamlessly to the main pipe with a custom cryogenic hose, keeping the vacuum seal unbroken from start to finish.
We don’t cut corners on quality. Every pipe and hose assembly passes rigorous leak detection and non-destructive tests, meeting top global safety standards like ASME and CE. In industries like LNG distribution or semiconductor manufacturing, even a small extra heat leak can cost thousands. That’s why we use special gettering materials to soak up stray molecules and keep the vacuum strong for the long haul.
At the heart of our system is the Dynamic Vacuum Pump. It keeps an eye on the vacuum level and maintains it, so any outgassing from the stainless steel doesn't sneak up on you. This pump matters—a small drop in vacuum can make the boil-off gas rate jump, but our engineering and tight welding keep that risk low.
Our Vacuum Insulated Valves are tough. They come with long stems and special thermal breaks, so ice won't form on the actuators. Even in the harshest cryogenic conditions, those valves keep working. For complex cooling skids, we use our Vacuum Insulated Phase Separator. It's a smart vessel with baffles and level controls, so only pure, subcooled liquid makes it to the test bench. That steady, pulse-free flow is key for sensitive thermal sensors.
● Active Vacuum Management
By combining our Dynamic Vacuum Pump System, Vacuum Insulated Valve, and Phase Separator, we give you a setup that moves liquid helium efficiently and keeps costs down. Our Mini Tanks and Flexible Hoses let us handle both mobile and fixed jobs with precision.
Sometimes you need fast-acting extra capacity. That's where the Mini Tank comes in. It acts as a local buffer, ready to supply cryogenics for high-demand cycles without the pressure swings you get from bigger tanks.
Every pipe and hose we build goes through tough leak testing with a helium mass spectrometer. We don't compromise on safety—these products support everything from semiconductor fabs to aerospace testing.
In semiconductor plants, our pipes deliver ultra-pure liquid nitrogen with barely any temperature rise. At LNG terminals, our heavy-duty cryogenic pipes handle the massive thermal loads of ship-to-shore transfers. We've even equipped medical research labs, where our Flexible Hose gives you the mobility you need without losing insulation performance.
● Operational Safety Managed by Valve and Valve Box
The flow and pressure of cryogenic liquids within the HL Cryogenic vacuum jacketed pipe system are regulated using specially engineered HL Cryogenic valves. These components are designed to operate reliably under ultra-low temperatures and rapid thermal transitions.
To further enhance system safety and accessibility, each HL Cryogenic valve is housed inside an insulated HL Cryogenic valve box. The valve box protects the valve from moisture ingress, reduces frost buildup, and enables technicians to perform inspections and adjustments without disrupting the thermal balance of surrounding areas.
By pairing our Valves, Flexible Hoses, and Dynamic Vacuum Pump Systems, we build closed-loop setups that squeeze every bit of thermal efficiency out of your skid. Our know-how with Phase Separators and Mini Tanks means we can fine-tune fluid dynamics to fit your exact needs—down to the enthalpy.
Whether we're installing a pipe at an LNG terminal or a delicate hose in a lab, we always put the Dynamic Vacuum Pump System front and center, so you get a maintenance-free setup that lasts.
● Precision Flow & Phase Control
We're always pushing to do more with our pipes and valves, chasing that cryogenic perfection. Every hose, separator, and tank that leaves our shop is part of a cleaner, more efficient future.
With our Mini Tank and advanced cryogenic pipework, we help automotive engineers push electric motors to their limits, confident that their cooling system has HL Cryogenics expertise behind it. If you're ready to take your project further, let's talk. We'll show you how our Vacuum Insulated Pipe and Vacuum Insulated Valve technology can meet your toughest engineering challenges.

HL Cryogenics' Vacuum Insulated Pipe (VIP) is manufactured in accordance with the ASME B31.3 Pressure Piping Code as our standard.
HL Cryogenics is a specialized vacuum equipment manufacturer, sourcing all raw materials exclusively from qualified suppliers. We can procure materials that meet specific standards and requirements as requested by customers. Our typical material selection includes ASTM/ASME 300 Series Stainless Steel with surface treatments such as acid pickling, mechanical polishing, bright annealing, and electro polishing.
The size and design pressure of the inner pipe are determined according to the customer's requirements. The size of the outer pipe follows HL Cryogenics' standard specifications, unless otherwise specified by the customer.
Compared with conventional piping insulation, the static vacuum system provides superior thermal insulation, reducing gasification losses for customers. It is also more cost-effective than a dynamic VI system, lowering the initial investment required for projects.
