Mini Tank Series — Compact and High-Efficiency Cryogenic Storage Solutions
Design and Construction
Each Mini Tank adopts a double-wall structure with an inner and outer vessel. The inner vessel, made from high-quality stainless steel, is suspended within the outer shell via a dedicated support system, minimizing thermal bridging and providing mechanical stability. The annular space between the inner and outer vessels is evacuated to a high vacuum and wrapped with multilayer insulation (MLI) paper, significantly reducing heat ingress and ensuring long-term thermal efficiency.
All process lines connected to the inner vessel are routed through the bottom head of the outer shell for a clean and compact piping layout. The piping is engineered to withstand pressure variations caused by the vessel, support structure, and thermal expansion/contraction of the pipelines during operation. All piping is constructed from stainless steel, while the outer shell can be supplied in stainless steel or carbon steel, depending on project requirements.
Vacuum and Insulation Performance
he Mini Tank Series ensures optimal vacuum integrity through the VP-1 vacuum valve, which is used to evacuate the interspace between the inner and outer vessels. Once evacuation is complete, the valve is sealed with a lead seal by HL Cryogenics. Users are strictly advised not to open or tamper with the vacuum valve, ensuring safety and maintaining long-term thermal performance.
